Read A1 as two service items
Engine oil
Replace the engine oil. Honda’s A-code definition does not itself list an oil-filter replacement; confirm the filter recommendation and the quoted scope for your vehicle.
Tire rotation
Rotate the tires using the instructions appropriate to your vehicle and tires. Rotation is a separate operation from wheel alignment.
A1 versus B1: what changes?
Both codes include tire rotation. B adds an oil-filter replacement and the inspections specified in your owner’s manual, including brake checks. An A1 reminder does not automatically mean the full B inspection list is due.

When should you schedule A1 service?
Use the displayed maintenance status as well as the code. For example, the 2026 CR-V manual identifies 15–6% calculated oil life as due soon and 5–1% as due now; an overdue message calls for immediate service. Your own manual controls the exact display and instructions.
